Suburban Scene is a communication resource for over 60,000 residents who live in the Crofton, Gambrills, and Odenton communities of Western Anne Arundel County in Maryland. Through our interactive website, digital and print publications, we provide the most comprehensive information on the events, programs, businesses, and issues that center around our communities.

Started by local resident Laura Tayman in the fall of 2006, Suburban Scene began as a monthly magazine mailed directly to all homes and businesses of Crofton, Gambrills, and Piney Orchard - a distribution of over 22,000 issues. In the spring of 2008, the distribution area grew and extended across the entire Odenton zip code, with approximately 23,000 issues mailed.

Suburban Scene continues to print the magazine on a quarterly basis. It now also distributes a monthly Emagazine titled This Month in Suburban Scene, with an email distribution list of over 3,000. Hits to the website have been thousands per week.
