OVFC Annual Carnival
The Odenton Fire Company Annual Carnival will be held Tuesday, May 25 — Monday, May 31 on the grounds of the Odenton Fire Hall. Contact the Fire Company for more information at (410) 674-4444.
Jones Vigil
There will be a vigil to remember local Crofton teen Christopher Jones on Nantucket Drive in Crofton at 7:30pm, on Sunday, May 30th, the first anniversary of his death. Sponsored by the Crofton Regional Community Center, the program will include remarks by Jones’ parents and local community leaders.
PO Blood Drive
The Piney Orchard Community Center will holst a blood drive on Thursday, June 3, 12-6pm, in the Great Room. Call 410-672-4273 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
OVFC Flea Market
The Ladies Auxiliary will hold a flea market at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Co. station on Saturday, June 5, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Cost is $15 for an 8-foot table. Call 301-776-9372 to reserve a table or to request additional information.
PO Farmers Market
The Piney Orchard Farmers Market begins June 9th and will continue every Wednesday through November 24th from 2-6:30pm.
Kiwanis/Team Surlis Run
The Crofton Kiwanis/Team Surlis Annual 10K Race along the Crofton Parkway will be held on Saturday, June 12, with an 8am start. Amenities include three trophies in several age categories in addition to the overall winner categories, food, drink, and T-shirts to the first 250 entrants. Holistic Health Fair
Dr. Tom Lo of Advanced Chiropractic Center will host a Holistic Health Fair on Saturday, June 12, 9am-2pm, at Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church in Crofton. Exhibitors will include those who offer massage, aromatherapy, yoga, Reiki, reflexology and more. Center Baysox Fundraiser
The Crofton Regional Community Center (CRCC) is sponsoring a community fundraiser at the Bowie Baysox June 18 home game. Game start time is 7:05 with fireworks following. Crofton’s own singer/songwriter and Nashville recording artist Ashley Forrest will sing the national anthem, and Jennifer Adkins, the mother of Christopher Jones, who was killed in 2009, will throw the first pitch. VBS at Crofton’s First Baptist
The First Baptist Church of Crofton will hold their annual Vacation Bible School on June 21-25 from 6:30-8:30pm. The program will be for children entering Kindergarten through fifth grade. You can register or volunteer online at www.fbccrofton.org or call 410-721-2790.
VBS at CHA
The annual joint Vacation Bible School between Seton Parish and Church of the Holy Apostles parish will be held June 21-25th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at School of the Incarnation. VBS at CUMC
The dates for Vacation Bible School at Crofton’s Community United Methodist Church this year are set for the mornings of June 21 through June 25. Registration is now available online at www.cumc.net. The fee is $25. Classes are for age 4 through 5th graders. For more information, call 410-721-9129.
Hospice of the Chesapeake Golf Tournament
Hospice of the Chesapeake will hold its annual golf tournament on Monday, June 21, at the Crofton Country Club from 8am-2pm. A variety of sponsorships are available. FCC VBS

St. Joseph’s VBS
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church is currently taking registration for their Vacation Bible School scheduled for August 2nd thru August 6th. The fee is $30. Registration is open to all St Joseph Parishioners only until June 20th at which time they will open it other parishes.
All About Kids Camp
This annual Performing Arts Camp, where kids sing, dance, and act for God, is being held at Faith Community Church of Gambrills once again during the week of August 1. Online registration is $115
